OUR GETAWAY

Need a break, want to try new activities or enjoy the independence of spending time with friends? Our Getaway is short term accommodation that offers it all. Completed in 2016, Our Getaway has large open spaces and accessible bedrooms/ bathrooms. Enjoy large open living areas, heaps of outdoor space and a dedicated TV and gaming area. Our friendly and experienced team are here to provide round the clock support. Looking for an extra special break? We have a variety of themed holidays throughout the year to appeal to different interests. Where possible we will attend to your individual needs including diet, health and care requirements. Most people stay a week at a time but shorter and longer stays are available depending on your needs. 

We start each week with a Monday Welcome Event. Get to know other guests and your Our Getaway team over a delicious two course meal. Guests can also choose to be involved in the preparation including shopping and cooking. Our Getaway staff are trained in first aid, CPR, child safety, manual handling, assisted medication, enteral feeding, catheter care and food safety. We do not provide specialist medical care or wound care, however we can work with you to secure an external agency whilst at our Centre. What makes a better holiday than enjoying it with your mates? With group bookings you can set the week’s itinerary – whatever your interests we’ll help you plan the ultimate holiday! Group bookings accommodate up to six guests. 

There is so much fun to be had on the Gold Coast. If you want to add extra outings, you can access our Lifestyle and Leisure actives on the coast at an additional cost. Lifestyle and leisure activities help you to get out, try new things and make new friends. Attend concerts, sporting events, food and wine festivals, shows and more. Before you arrive we will contact you with a list of optional activities that you can choose to sign up for. Our Getaway also has an activity board where guests can find out more about what is happening during their stay and express their interest in attending.
