Catalina Lakefront Retreat is a fully accessible, single-level facility sited on parkland fronting the foreshores of beautiful Lake Macquarie. Located near Toronto, just south of Newcastle, NSW and surrounded by parklands this peaceful environment offers shaded walks on paved pathways along the waterfront. Community sports grounds, Catalina bowling club, and village shops are all within a short distance away.

The accommodation is simple, but spacious and comfortable, with many rooms having air conditioning and their own large ensuites. Bedrooms come in varying sizes, private sole occupancy, doubles, or larger bunk rooms. Most rooms have a pleasant outlook over parklands or waterfront. The Pelican wing accommodates 75 people and the Kookaburra wing has 48 beds.

Facilities include a café-style dining area overlooking the BBQ entertaining area facing the lake, and the alternative of a covered all-weather courtyard if you prefer to dine alfresco. Catalina has a well-equipped commercial kitchen with facilities for large group catering. North Adelaide Boutique Stays Accessible Accommodation is in the centre of North Adelaide. Their Wheelchair-Friendly Studio is fully equipped with two rooms available. Room 27 has a Queen bed and a single hospital bed whilst Room 28 has a Queen bed. Their 4-star wheelchair-friendly studio provides accessible accommodation for all people, ensuring there is no exclusion to any guests because of their special needs.

All rooms feature pillow top queen size beds. They offer Smart LCD TV’s, a Kitchenette, a coffee machine, a mini bar, HiSpeed complimentary WiFi, and limited car parking if required. The kitchenette is equipped with a microwave, plates and utensils and a Nespresso coffee pod machine.

The in-room hospital bed is fully equipped with electronic hand controls for maximum comfort.  A lifter (mobile hoist) is also available on request, please bring your own harness, as well as a commode. Their bathrooms have been designed for your comfort with adjustable shower heads and are equipped with grab rails and a shower bench. The basins, vanities, and towel rails have been lowered.

Also included in your 4-star contemporary-style room is an iPad for guest use, an iPod docking station, reverse cycle heating and cooling and wheelchair accessible bathroom.
