The wheelchair friendly cottage, converted from a carpenters workshop is built with the larger family in mind. Less able holidaymaker’s have also been greatly catered for within the property. It is a spacious, detached, ground floor cottage with wheel chair manoeuvrability throughout and bedrooms are structured in such a way to accommodate for every individual.
The spacious open plan living room with vaulted ceiling has a fully fitted kitchen with dining table. The hallway leads to one double and one king-size bedroom both disabled friendly. To the back of the property overlooking the field is the three- bedded room which has a bunk beds and single bed. There are two bathrooms, one with a bath/shower the other a wet room with level access shower. There is a separate utility room with washing machine and dryer. The end room is an adaptable games room.
This accessible self catering cottage has a profiling bed with the benefit of being height adjustable with integral side rails it is placed in the single room. An electric portable hoist is also available to hire for an extra cost. A shower chair, perch stool and table blocks are freely available. Two full support special needs swing seats for adults and children with harness’s are also available.
Wheelchair friendly path and ramps with decking around the property, to take advantage of the outstanding views. The decking area is a great place to relax and unwind, with garden furniture and hammocks to laze about on. The decking is right outside the patio doors, no steps, it continues around the property and extends into the wooded area behind the property.

Our self catering cottages have been designed to the highest specification around the accessibility needs and comfort of the wheelchair user and their carers. We are ideally situated in the peaceful Pembrokeshire countryside only a few minutes drive to the beaches of Pendine, Amroth, Saundersfoot, Tenby and many more. We have 6 wonderful cottages designed to the highest specification giving enjoyment and comfort to everyone that stays.
Each cottage has central heating, freeview tv and wifi. Also cookers, microwaves and fridges with small freezer. Bed linen, gas and electricity and utilities are included. We have a visitors laundry that is open daily from early morning to late evening.
All doors are extra wide with level entry. Shower rooms are laid out for carefree use in the wet room style. We have 4 cottages with ground floor accommodation and a further 2 cottages with a second floor for carers and family.
The larger cottages all have fully profiling beds and the smallest has twin basic electric beds available. Hoists will easily fit underneath all our beds. We have hydraulic hoists and a stand-aid hoist. Please reserve these items when booking your holiday. Also a selection of shower chairs and commodes and air mattress are available which need to be reserved on booking your visit. Monkey pole, cot sides and much more available.

Stangwrach Cottage is an accessible self catering cottage in Llanfynydd, Wales. This 5 star quality property has a glazed sun room with views out over the garden which leads through to a beamed kitchen/dining/living area. Also on the ground floor is a wet-room and the double bedroom. The stairs lead to a further twin bedroom and double room with views that take full advantage of the countryside and landscaped gardens.
The ground floor bedroom is next to the wetroom and has a double bed and ample storage space for your stay. The double-glazed window takes full advantage of the views, lawns and garden room. Upstairs there is one twin room and another larger double room with additional TV and a leather sofa for relaxing into. Bedrooms have blankets and duvets with linen provided. The rooms are warm and cosy in the winter and airy in the summer.
There is also now a facility for us to arrange the hire and assembling of an electric profiling bed, this is an extra cost on top of the rental. An electric portable hoist is also available to hire, but please bring your own looped sling. A shower chair, perch stool and table blocks are freely available. Two full support special needs swing seats for adults and children with harness’s are also available.
The other important room is the ambient wet room, it has a luxurious rain shower, with a smaller hand held shower accessory attached if needed. An important room for a person who could do with a little support to make life easier. The sink has no pedestal so you can comfortably accommodate a wheelchair.
A ramp gives access to the garden room through a wide glazed door. This room is light, spacious and really comfortable. Ample room for children to play in the terraced garden and an ideal spot for the adults to laze about on sunny days where you’ll find outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There is also a shared two-acre field available, great for those more energetic games, football, netball, badminton and cricket. There are children’s swings a baby swing and a 12ft Trampoline.
