Heddwch means ‘Peace’ in Welsh, and this wheelchair accessible two-bedroom bungalow is certainly true to its name lying as it does in the quiet rural hamlet of Llwyndafydd, overlooking farmland and just a few minutes from the West Wales coast and hidden coves of Cardigan Bay.

The cottage has a spacious accessible bedroom with wide single profiling bed and space for a second pull-out single bed.  The bedroom is fitted with push-call buttons and multiple bedside power sockets. An Astor OT200 above bed ceiling hoist leads directly into a luxury en-suite wet-room. Heddwch Cottage has a second bedroom with a super-king (or optional twin beds), and a family bathroom with walk-in shower, peninsular WC, wash basin and shower over bath.

The wet-room has a step-free shower, optional wall-mounted shower seat, an Aquatec Tilt-in-Space shower/commode chair, Geberit Aquaclean WC, wheel-under washbasin, full-height body drier, and bathroom alarm pull-cords

The newly fitted kitchen has a dishwasher, washing machine and a wheel-under breakfast bar with free-standing seating. There is a wall mounted oven and microwave, induction hob and pull-out kitchen storage for ease of access. The living room has comfortable sofas and a large wall-mounted TV. According to needs, we can provide either a Lento riser/recliner chair or a Lento Care Chair for guest use. Bi-fold doors open from the living room onto a level terrace/deck with views over the adjoining countryside.

A unique holiday venue providing self catering holiday accommodation which is fully accessible for groups, organisations and families whose members have special needs.

The centre is a single storey building and has been awarded an ‘Accessibility Grade 2’ Status. It can sleep 15 people in 9 bedrooms but are not limited to this, they’re able to accommodate for larger groups if you require and are open throughout the year for long or short stays.

The entrance leads into the main part of the building where you will find a fully equipped kitchen with cooking range, fridge, freezer, combination microwave/grill/oven, coffee machine and a dishwasher.

The bedrooms have either a double, single or bunk beds, bedroom 7 has a single electric profiling bed. A Birdie electric portable hoist is available to use in the bedrooms.

The main bathroom, (which includes an adult sized shower bed, a toilet, Jacuzzi bath, roll-in shower and a ceiling mounted tracking hoist), is also located in the central part of the building. A spacious open plan lounge/dining and recreation area (including: Snooker table, Freeview television, DVD/video player, xbox and board games) is set in the centre of the building. Leading from the lounge/dining area you have access to the decked Patio with outdoor furniture and around the far side from here is a separate BBQ area. The whole centre is surrounded by a wonderful lawn area with a private path down over the river to the spectacular Walled Gardens.

The ponds and waterways are a great fascination for children and are full of surprises. There are other child-orientated features, cleverly placed so as not to be over obtrusive. The gardens are fully accessible to wheelchair users.

The highlight of your holiday at Ty Glyn has to be the wonderfully secluded sensory walled garden. Set within a beautiful woodland area alongside the River Aeron it has been developed specifically for people with special needs. Its south facing productive terraced kitchen garden overlooks herbaceous borders, orchard and ponds with child orientated features and surprises amidst unusual shrubs and perennials.
