The bungalow has 3 bedrooms, sleeps up to 8 people and is within walking distance of Dawlish and has spectacular, uninterrupted sea views. These can be enjoyed from the lounge/conservatory, or from the large paved terrace. The bungalow is set back on the Exeter Road between Dawlish and Dawlish Warren. 

There is smooth, level access throughout the property, and accessible doors to one of the bedrooms, the wet room , into the lounge and the kitchen has a large opening off the hall. Please note that although  the kitchen can be accessed easily by a wheelchair, the units are standard for use by an able bodied person.

FOR BATHING THERE IS A LARGE WHEEL-IN WET ROOM, THERMASTICLY CONTROLLED SHOWER AND A 1.5M HOSE. THERE IS A CHOICE OF MOBILITY AIDS, A SHOWER STOOL, A SHOWER COMMODE OR A TILT-IN-SPACE SHOWER COMMODE WITH BED PAN.

There is a fixed ceiling track hoist in the twin bedroom, and a further mobile hoist for use in the lounge, so that you can transfer into the ‘riser recliner’ chair.  (please bring your own sling) The ‘accessible’ bedroom contains twin beds, one of which is a fully functioning ‘hospital’ bed with both profiling ability, and height adjustment for care. In addition this bed can have an airflow mattress fitted or bed rails.

This single-storey property has been thoughtfully designed for wheelchair users and mobility-impaired guests to enjoy a holiday in Devon with their dogs. The property is one of the very few in our area to offer a tracking ceiling hoist that runs from the master bedroom into the ensuite wet room.

Braunton Accessible Bungalow has a master bedroom with a single electric profiling bed and single folding bed with doors leading directly onto the private gardens, wall-mounted TV, and ceiling hoist leading into the en-suite wet-room. The bungalow has a second bedroom with electrically adjustable twin beds. The stylish family bathroom has a walk-in bath with integrated seat and fixed grab-rails, and a drop-down grab-rail alongside the WC.

The modern accessible wet-room has a step-free shower, fixed grab-rails for the shower, shower/commode chair, shower stool, drop-down grab-rails either side of WC, WC seat raiser, and a wheel-under washbasin.

The bungalow has a spacious and modern open-plan living/dining/kitchen space with access directly onto the rear terrace, large corner sofa (also a double sofa bed), riser/recliner chair, wall-mounted TV, and dining table with free-standing seating. The stylish accessible kitchen has a ‘slide-and-hide’ oven, rise-and-fall/wheel-under hob and sink, remote controlled fan, easy-pour kettle, and breakfast bar with dining stools.

The Heddon apartment sleeps 7, in 3 bedrooms situated on two floors, this self-catering apartment is set within the main block and has a ceiling track hoist.

Ground and upper floor, with Stannah stair lift over stairs. On the ground floor is a single bedroom with an H-pattern ceiling track hoist and an electric adjustable bed, a bathroom with wheel in shower and a shower chair and a lounge with kitchenette. It also has a pull-down bed in the lounge. Both the wet room and shower room are wheelchair accessible. Upstairs is a shower room and two bedrooms; one with four single beds and one single bedroom.

A luxury accessible lodge located in 8 acres of historic gardens and woodlands. The lodge is situated in the heart of the countryside but still within easy reach of many beaches. The accessible lodge is fully insulated year-round and sleeps 4-5 people in two bedrooms (twin & king). With the option of an extra bed in the twin room or the use of a sofa bed in the lounge.

The master bedroom has an electric adjustable split king size bed which has space on either side of the bed for wheelchair access. There is a wet room with non-slip flooring which compromises of a roll in shower with a grab rail and a low-level holder for the shower head, there is a fold down shower seat, or you can request use of the tilt n space shower chair. The sink has space underneath for a wheelchair.

The second bedroom is a twin bedroom which features 2 profiling beds, The room has plenty of space to move around and the portable hoist can be used in this room. The beds are ‘BellaSonno Height Adjustable profiling bed’s which can be used as 2 singles or put together as a super king.

The large double sliding doors take you out onto a large, decked area which features outdoor seating and a gas BBQ. The decked area has stunning views across the valley. The property also has a wood burning hot tub which can be accessed via a hoist.

The living, dining and kitchen area are all open plan. The kitchen is fully equipped with a sink, dishwasher, induction hob, Neff Slide & Hide oven, microwave, fridge/freezer, Nespresso coffee machine as well as the other essentials you need for a self-catering accommodation. After a busy day of exploring or visiting the beach guests can unwind and relax on the leather sofa by the lovely wood burning stove.

Otter Pool Barn is within easy driving distance of Ilfracombe’s historic harbour and boutique restaurants, the endless sandy beaches at Woolacombe, Croyde and Saunton and also has easy access to the historic market town of Barnstaple.

The barn has extensive living accommodation, six bedrooms, a swim spa and over five acres of private land, with a private lake, suitable for fishing and water sports.

The property is suitable for disabled and non-disabled guests with full disability facilities provided throughout and with a lift to the upstairs bedrooms – all rooms are wheelchair accessible. The land and swim spa have also been provided with the facilities required to make them fully available to those with disabilities.

Indoors there is the Great Hall, a snug lounge, a huge kitchen/diner, six bedrooms and three bathrooms.

Outdoors there is a sheltered, south facing, courtyard with barbecue and seating. The garden has children’s play equipment and a swim spa/hot tub, as well as the large field and lake.

With six accessible bedrooms, two downstairs and four upstairs, it is anticipated that any combination of family, friends, carers and mobility requirements can be catered for. Four profiling beds are provided. Two in bedroom one (with the x-y ceiling hoist) and two in separate rooms upstairs, a mobile hoist is available if required. Visitors will need to bring their own slings to use with the hoists.

BATHROOMS ARE LARGE AND HAVE FULLY LEVEL ACCESS SHOWERS. THE BATH IN THE FAMILY BATHROOM IS SUITABLE FOR USE WITH THE MOBILE HOIST. 

The pool is suitable for use as a hydrotherapy pool. Its temperature can be set to suit needs. The linked hot tub allows access for everyone, with a removable partition to move from one part of the pool to the other (a reasonable level of mobility is required to remove/replace the partition) and a sling/chair hoist has been installed (chair provided) to enable access to those unable to get into the pool unassisted.
