The Clayton Lodge has 2 bedrooms and is set on the scenic Clayton Caravan Park, in the beautiful Eden Valley in North East Fife, and is situated just minutes from St Andrews and the Fife coast. The lodge sleeps 7 and aims to provide families affected by MND, and other disabilities, with a chance to take a break from their normal routine and to enjoy a break together.

Due to the physical progression of MND, there are often barriers to families taking a break they may desperately need. That’s why the Clayton Lodge has been purpose designed to prioritise space and comfort and is fitted with an array of helpful adaptations suitable for people with MND and other disabilities. 

The main bedroom has a double and a single, fully adjustable electric bed and a ceiling track hoist running from the single bed into the en-suite wet room. This has a wheel in shower with a tilt in space portable shower chair and a Clos-o-mat automatic toilet. There’s a second twin bedroom and bathroom with over-bath shower plus a sofa bed and riser/recliner arm chair in the lounge.

Wheelchair accessible luxury 2 and 3 bed self-catering holiday lodges and disability accessible lodges nestled in mature woodlands in the East Neuk village of Lundin Links. Recently built to the highest standard, all equipped with an extensive range of disability support equipment to help you unwind and enjoy a memorable stay.

Each of the lodges and the Paxton Centre have been purpose built to ensure people affected by disability can make full use of all the facilities at Homelands. Within both the Paxton Centre and the lodges there is level access and widened door frames. There are two wheelchair accessible paths that offer access in and out of Homelands; one of these paths leads to the golf course and road outside Homelands and the other leads to the main street in Lundin Links where all the shops and bus stops can be found.

All lodges have Guldmann H-frame ceiling tracking hoists in each of the ground floor bedrooms and in the wet room. Furthermore each lodge has one electric profiling bed with an Invacare Softform Premier Active 2 airflow mattress in the each ground floor bedroom.

All our lodges feature a full wet room on the ground floor with a pull down seat in the shower area, (various shower chairs and shower trollies are also available, free of charge, on request, please see list below). Drummochy and Cardy lodges each have clos-o-mat toilets in the wet room. In addition to the equipment inbuilt into the lodges there are a number of pieces of portable specialist equipment included in each lodge as standard at no extra charge

THE RINGS COTTAGE

The cottage is set in 90 acres of fife farmland and can accommodate families/groups of up to 16 people in 8 bedrooms. The wall between the two main living areas can move to make one open plan space.

The house can be sub-divided to allow smaller groups to book what they need. All the rooms are on one level with corridors and doors wheel chair accessible.

The dream with the Rings was always to create a place where families of all abilities could holiday in comfort. That’s why our corridors had wheelchair accessibility built into them from the start. All our doorways, including those leading into bedrooms, lounge areas and wet rooms are wide enough to fit most wheelchairs through. Turning circles have also been thought about in each of the rooms making it the ideal place to come and stay.

We offer ceiling track hoists in three of the ensuite bedrooms leading to wet rooms with baths. The decor takes account of those with sensory impairments and the sound proofed walls ensure a peaceful stay.

Bedrooms can be set up with an electric, profiling bed with cot sides. The en-suite wet rooms have a wheel in shower with portable shower chair and a bath with bath seat (Opal has a spa bath) There’s two open plan living areas, the main kitchen is accessible with rise and fall hob & sink. An adapted W.A.V can be used by guests over 21 with a clean licence.
