On the ground floor you’ll find a large ground floor bedroom fitted with a ceiling track hoist and has a height adjustable, profiling bed with an air mattress. The fully accessible wet room adjacent has a roll in shower and a wheeled shower chair. There is also a large, free standing bath – perfect for relaxing at the end of the day. The large open plan kitchen/dining room with a vaulted ceiling and oak beams is a great social space. An open arch leads through to the conservatory/dining room with large glass gable and views onto open fields. A cosy log effect gas fire welcomes you into the large living room through automatic doors from the hall-way. There is a TV with PVR and DVD player and a selection of board games and jigsaw puzzles for cosy evenings in. Upstairs you’ll find a further two double bedrooms and a shower room in the eaves.

Adjoining Buttermilk Cottage is a self contained Annexe which sleeps two guests. Both properties can be booked together, offering privacy to grandparents, friends, family or carers, or separately as a stand alone property. When both properties are booked together, there is the capacity for eight guests. Outside there’s a level pathway and step free access to both the front and rear of the property. A patio table and chairs is positioned in the west facing front garden, perfect for watching the sun set on a summer’s evening. A small lawn, herb garden and shrubbery completes the front of the property. To the rear is a patio with bistro set overlooking open countryside.

The cottage has a double bedroom and a twin bedded room upstairs, sharing a bathroom, and a double bedroom downstairs with a ceiling track hoist and an accessible en-suite wet room containing shower, wc and hand basin. A folding shower stool and various grab rails are fitted and there are a washing machine and ironing facilities in an alcove. The upstairs bathroom has a full size bath with shower over, a hand basin and wc.

The lounge / diner is a large, new room with a pitched ceiling and an oak floor.  The wall facing the garden consists of an extended floor-to-ceiling series of glass doors which can be folded back to give uninterrupted access to a large area of decking, and the garden beyond. The wall opposite these glass doors has an extended cupboard built in with a sliding door behind which the television and audio equipment are concealed.  The room also has a dining table & chairs, two large sofas & various easy chairs. The kitchen is fitted with a range of modern units with solid beech worktops. Equipment includes a dishwasher, a fridge, a freezer, a microwave oven, a full size electric oven and hob, and a Belfast sink.  There is also a lowered area of worktop to facilitate use from a wheelchair.

There is a small front garden with steps and a shallow ramp up to the glazed front door.  Outside the back door there is a large area of decking with a substantial outdoor table, chairs and a bench, and a ramp down to the large back garden. This is mainly grass with a number of mature trees, a garden shed and garden seats.   Barbecuing equipment is available.  There are excellent opportunities for wildlife and bird spotting, including (if you’re lucky) a greater spotted woodpecker, barn owls, buzzards ,  numerous tits and wild boar.
