Located in the Kielder Water & Forest Park and owned by the Calvert Trust, there are a number of chalets with ceiling track hoists. The 3 bed Straker, 2 bed Bradbury and single bedroom McCardle have a discrete overhead Integra hoist, the 3 bedroom Calvert chalets also have a tracking hoist.

Most of the chalets have a master bedroom with a ceiling track hoist, wet room style bathroom with wheel in shower, a height adjustable sink and a bath with hoist. They also have a fully equipped kitchen (Calvert chalets have height adjustable worktop, sink & hob), lounge and private outside deck area. Some have the added feature of a hot tub, BBQ and also allow pets at a cost.

Coria Lodge is a 5* award-winning real wood 2-bedroom lodge with spacious open-plan living area, extra wide ramp access, level access and interior, widened doorways, twin bedroom with rail and portable ceiling hoist, wet-room, and private hot-tub with rail and portable hoist.

Coria Lodge has a luxury twin or super-king bedroom with rail and portable hoist system, a standard fitted en-suite WC with emergency alarm, and wall-mounted Smart TV. The second super king-size bedroom has doors onto the side garden and hot-tub, and a wall-mounted Smart TV. The lodge has a spacious shower room with walk-in shower, bi-folding shower doors, wall-mounted shower seat, wheeled shower chair, wheel-under washbasin, raised WC, and emergency alarm.

The lodge has a stylish open-plan design with views across open countryside, a living area with comfortable sofas, large wall-mounted Smart TV, and cosy wood-burner; dining area with French doors leading to the front terrace, and a luxury fitted kitchen. The Schoolhouse is a detached four bedroom property, enabling six guests to stay. The cottage has level access/interior, a ground-floor accessible bedroom with profiling bed and ceiling hoist coverage into an en-suite wet-room, and seating areas looking onto the private accessible rear garden or south facing views to open countryside and Kyloe Woods.

The ground-floor has an adapted accessible suite with electric profiling bed and ‘H’ track ceiling hoist coverage through to the en-suite wet-room. The spacious and modern accessible wet-room has hoist access into the step-free shower area with height-adjustable changing bench, hoist access to the WC, wheel-under washbasin with lever-style taps, and Rifton HTS wheeled shower chair. There’s three further bedrooms on the first floor including a double bedroom with en-suite shower room, a single bedroom with queen-size bed, and a twin bedroom. The large family bathroom has a large bath and separate shower.

Schoolhouse Fenwick has spacious ground-floor reception rooms including a living room with sofas, TV, cosy log-burning stove, and open countryside views. There’s also a stylish kitchen/diner which has a dining table with free-standing seating and a door opening onto the private rear garden. The kitchen also leads into a ‘snug’ with sofa and views over the garden. The cottage has a private rear garden with level paved patio, outdoor seating, and ramped path to the lawns, herb garden and summerhouse.

Accommodation that suits the family, and offers more of what is needed for children and adults with complex needs, for whom “wheelchair access”, is just not enough. A WCF Atlas Debonair Access on Haven’s Berwick Upon Tweed Holiday Centre, Super El is owned by Tailored Leisure CIC, with on site facilities to keep everyone amused during their break.

Access is via a ramp at all caravans, up to a decked terrace. Entry into the accommodation is through a door of a minimum 90cm wide and we also provide a threshold ramp stored just inside the main entrance. There is smooth, level access throughout, with sliding doors to bedrooms and wet rooms.

For bathing there is a large wet room, thermostatic controlled “super powerful” shower with extra long hose and a wheel in shower chair.  There are fixed hand rails in the shower area, and by the sink, with 1 fixed and one drop down rail by the toilet.

The master bedrooms are larger than you would normally find in a static caravan with a single profiling bed as well as a standard double bed and 2 double wardrobes, and 4 USB charging points. There is also a full room coverage overhead track hoist system. This room is easily reconfigured to give best access to meet your specific requirements.

The Hytte is an award winning 4 bedroom wheelchair accessible self-catering lodge for eight guests close to Northumberland National Park & Hadrian’s Wall. This Norwegian inspired grassed roofed, timber lodge is the ideal “get together” venue for family and friends, complete with the added luxury of a sauna and hot-tub spa.

Three of the bedrooms have twin beds with the master having two electric beds that can be linked to make a king size. One of the twins has two electric profiling hospital beds and a mobile hoist can be provided. There’s a separate shower room with a wheel in shower and wheeled shower chair. There’s also a standard bathroom with a bath. You’ll find a rise/recline chair in the lounge and an accessible kitchen, decking and gardens.
