The Joey Dunlop Foundation (established 2001) is an Isle of Man Charity whose main aim has always been to create specialist accommodation that will open up the Isle of Man to visitors with disability. Braddan Bridge House, located in the islands capital, Douglas, hosts apartments available for the needs of all disabled guests and allow them to experience the beauty of the island and the excitement of the TT races.

Braddan Bridge House was designed from the start with the disabled guest in mind. The complex consists of five self-contained apartments, one of which is a single bedroom and the remaining four all being two bedroomed. All bedrooms are twin bedded. We understand the needs of the less able visitor and can assist in every aspect of holiday life including support getting about the island.

All apartments have electric profiling beds with two having ceiling track hoists running from the bed into the en-suite wet room and a wash/dry automatic toilet. A portable hoist can be provided in the other apartments. Each has a wheel in shower with fold down shower seat, a wheeled shower chair can be provided. There is a platform lift that provides access to the first floor. We have disabled staff or trustees within our foundation who themselves face the differing requirements of our visitors and have helped in the design of the house and our rooms.
