Our focus at Leuchie is on giving our guests and their families the very best short break experience. By providing the expert care they need to manage their condition, our guests are able to have a proper holiday and enjoy all the things that make it special for them.  With our specialist team, our enabling approach, our stunning location in the East Lothian countryside and our beautiful house, for short breaks with 24 hour care, Leuchie House really is one of a kind. At Leuchie we support people who have MS, who have had a stroke, or who are living with a number of other neurological conditions. We also provide essential breaks for our guests’ carers or family members, either by taking on their caring responsibilites while they are at Leuchie, or enabling them to have a break separately while their loved one is with us.

Every Leuchie break of 4, 7 or 11 nights includes comfortable accommodation with specialised equipment to meet individual needs, personalised care, physiotherapy, delicious home made food, activities, outings and entertainment, and a chance to book relaxing therapies and beauty treatments and the chance to socialise and meet new people – all within the relaxed, comfortable setting of a special country house. For our guests one of the main things that makes Leuchie special is that the care we provide really is person-centred. Through our pre-assessment process, we ensure that Leuchie is the right environment for every guest and that we are in the best position to provide the care they need. We then build a personalised care plan with each of our guests. This means when they come to Leuchie they can relax knowing their care is in expert hands, and they can benefit fully from the unique Leuchie short break package.  

Built in 1779, Leuchie is a classic country mansion which is fully accessible, offering a welcoming, comfortable environment for guests and visitors. The large and airy public rooms have stunning views across the grounds and beautiful, original decorative features. Our recently renovated bedrooms are all light and spacious and are all equipped with electric profiling, height adjustable beds which can be adapted for personal needs, state-of-the-art call system with personal alarm, television and superfast, free Wi-Fi. We are continually updating technology for guest independence and are introducing Alexa smart speakers to some rooms. Bathroom renovations have seen each bathroom fitted with a non-slip wet room, one with a jacuzzi bath with ‘the best views in Scotland!’, alarm systems and hoists.

The extensive private grounds around the house add to Leuchie’s beauty and tranquility and are home to a variety of wildlife. On sunny days our large patio area to the rear of the house is a favourite spot for relaxing, and our lovely summer house means you can enjoy the views whatever the weather. We encourage all guests to explore the grounds to make the most of the wonderful Leuchie estate.

NOAMI HOUSE & JACKSPLACE

We provide individualised care and much needed respite and support for life limited and life threatened children, young adults and the whole family, on the good days, difficult days and last days. This care continues for as long as a family needs. Respite care gives families the chance to regroup, to relax and to rebalance family life. Naomi House & Jacksplace offers 24 hour respite care and a range of activities to suit the tastes and abilities of the children and young adults in our care. 

Naomi House first opened in 1997 to offer care and support to children who were not expected to live until adulthood. Our children’s hospice provides excellent facilities to ensure a comfortable and enjoyable stay for all of our children and families. There are 11 children’s bedrooms and a number of family bedrooms at Naomi House. Additionally, the state of the art building includes spaces for music therapy, art and messy play, a multi-sensory room, a hydrotherapy pool and dedicated spaces for end of life care and post-bereavement support. Our Play Team organise stimulating games and activities for the children staying at Naomi House, with their needs and abilities in mind, as well as organising exciting events and outings too, so there is something for everyone to enjoy.

At Jacksplace, young adults have the freedom to make their own choices, take a break from routine, and enjoy true independence. Whether it’s deciding when to wake up, what to eat, or how to spend their day, they are in control. Every young adult receives personalised care, comfort, and support tailored to their individual needs. From skilled medical staff and thoughtful meal preparation to specialist equipment and emotional support, every detail is considered. We form bonds with the people we spend time with. Jacksplace is a special place where young adults with disabilities can come to socialise, have fun, and just be themselves. It’s a place where they can make friends, get to know the staff, and feel understood.

REVITALISE

At Revitalise you don’t just get respite care; you get a break, a real holiday. That’s what makes us different. A Revitalise respite holiday is a refreshing twist on traditional respite care. We offer a break that feels like a proper holiday for disabled people and also for carers. This is why at Revitalise we talk about respite holidays rather than respite care – we provide holidays with care. We provide respite holidays for disabled people and carers aged 18 or over. Carers can have a break with us too, but they do not have to. They are more than welcome to come along with the person they care for and have a proper holiday too, while we take over the care. The expert nursing and care staff at our centres can provide support for people with more than 150 different disabilities, including Alzheimer’s and dementia. A wander round a museum? Waterskiing? A day-trip to France? An evening at the theatre? Nightclubbing, even? Easy. Nobody else gives you such a fantastic range of new experiences. But most of all, on a Revitalise holiday you get the chance to meet new people, make new friends, kick back and relax – and have fun!

JUBILEE LODGE

Revitalise Jubilee Lodge is located in leafy Chigwell on the edge of Epping Forest. The centre boasts a well appointed entertainment and bar area for those who enjoy socialising, plus a tranquil  inner courtyard with a beautiful ornamental pond, where you can relax in serene surroundings. Jubilee Lodge is just a stone’s throw away from the world famous attractions of London, as well as the pretty towns and lively seaside resorts of the South East. After a day of exploration, you can retreat back to your fully accessible guest room and unwind. All guest bedrooms are situated on ground level; many overlooking our beautiful orchard garden with direct access outside. Jubilee Lodge has recently completed a number of refurbishments, including our brand new orchard garden, upgraded restaurant, lounge and restaurant courtyard.

Southport is a quintessentially English seaside resort, boasting beautifully preserved Victorian promenades and arcades as well as one of the oldest piers in the UK. From Sandpipers you can explore the very best of the North West, from vibrant Liverpool and cheerful Blackpool to the rugged beauty of the world famous Lake District. The centre also boasts a stunning heated indoor hydrotherapy pool, giving our guests a truly revitalising experience. Revitalise Sandpipers offers full board accommodation on the shores of Southport Marine Lake. Take in lovely water views, go for a dip in the hydrotherapy pool or simply enjoy the newly refurbished R Club Lounge and restaurant. At the end of the day retreat to your fully accessible room. All en suites have wheel-in showers and there are also two separate bathrooms for assisted bathing with hoists and bariatric equipment, and Arjo baths.
